And hid my eyes in Amsterdam

Sorry to go back in time but I just wanted remember one of my most amazing trips. I can't believe it have been two years.

Garrett and Adele

On June 14th I was able to go to Snowflake and celebrate my cousin Garrett's wedding. I was amazed to realize that he was old enough to get married not that he isn't mature enough but that enough time had passed for it to be possible. Time really does fly.

Garrett wanted a rice crispy treat wedding cake. My Aunt Wilda, cousin Penny and I all pitched in and I think that it turned out pretty good.

Garrett and Adele's new Puppy Reggie. Isn't he so cute!!

Cole did great in his little league game the day before the wedding. It was nice to take a break and take in some baseball!!

At the end of it all we were all a little worn out but very happy to be a part of Garrett and Adele's big day. I wish them all of the luck in the world.

Family

This is a picture of my family after my grandma funeral. It seems like for the past few weeks we have seen a lot of each other. We are all given only one family and I am lucky that I got to be a part of this one. Also thanks for all the kind thought and support after the loss of my Grandma Lofgreen.

Graduation

Congrats to both Jamie and Wyatt for making it through High School. Good Luck in all that you do in the future!!

American Idol

Well I am going to admit to being a fan of American Idol. I try not to get to obsessed so I try not to watch until the top 24. This year I did really good so I had no idea who anyone was. Itwas kind a nice because usually I get sucked in but there "stories". So week one comes and I watch and I know that no one is going to believe me but I liked David Cook. Seriously he was my favorite, now don't get me wrong I also like little David A. and he sure does have an amazing voice so I was glad that it came down the them in the end. I was appalled but the comments on the last show and swore that if someone (the judges) didn't apologize to David Cook I would NEVER watch again. Good thing Simon (of all people - it should have been Randy) gave me an excuse to watch again next year.

New Baby

Wanted to welcome the newest addition to the RME family. Congrats Scarlett. He sure is a cutie!!

Office FUN

A while back our office got together and took in a baseball game. I want to know who was the unlucky person that came because the DBack played horrible. We had a great time although it is still possible that I am still pulling peanuts out of my hair.
The singles
hmmmm....I think that Mark Reynolds looks pretty good in his baseball pants!!

Cody and Leyla - Sooo Cute

Thought that I would share my latest pictures of my bedroom. It is a work in progress and this week my dad and mom came and painted. I think it turned out pretty good. I even added curtains. Thanks for helping Dad!

Where have I been???

Well I am finally going to sit down tonight and try to do an update. Just like all of you I have been pretty busy these last few months. Here are a few things that I have been doing:

Home improvements:I am trying to put more time and effort into my condo. I recently purchased some new bedroom furniture and after a few weeks I am still very happy with it. Here is the bedding the a bought to go with it and I hope to paint and do some decorating soon.

Work: I am still working are RME and am really happy there. Some of you may know about the recent opportunity that I was given to do something a little different. With the help of the Lord and my parents I made the decision to say both in Mesa and at RME. I haven't regretted it one day. Don't get me wrong I work hard and to home pretty tired most evenings but I think that it is a place that I can be happy for a long time to come. I have made some incredible friends there that I will have for life. Right now we have a very close office staff that gets alone great with few exceptions. I am proud to be part of the RME family. Here are a few of my co-worker are our Queen Creek open house. And here is the newest addition to our RME family:

Personal: On Monday my family and I attended the D-Backs home opener. I was so much fun. Everyone should take in a game this year. The team has some great players and they have the chance to go far this year. Also the 14 million dollar scoreboard was unveiled and it was amazing.

So that is the latest on me. I will try harder to update more often but who knows. I do have some family events coming up so I might update so often that you will all be sick of me.

XLII

I know that I promised pictures for my next post but you will all just have to hang in there. I had to blog about the Super Bowl. I never in a million years thought that I would ever cheer for a New York team over a Boston team but there is a first time for everything. I don't think that I have ever cared about a super bowl like a did this year and how sweet it was!! I think my bitterness goes back to the world series. The Red Sox were always my second team after the Diamondbacks and a few years ago when they won there championship I was right there cheering them on. Then last year I couldn't believe what horrible sports some of there players had turned into and I found myself wanting anyone to beat them. (When did they turn into the yankees) No one that acts like Manny Ramirez does desirves any kind of championship. Well good for the Giants for going in and playing a great game and not listening to eveyone saying that they had NO chance to win. Tom Brady laughed last week when Plaxico Burress said they were only going to score 17 points. I don't think he is laughing anymore. And Bill Belichick can joint Manny Ramirez as two of the most classless people in proffessional sports today. (The parents of the Manning brothers have a lot that they can be proud of.) I know that a lot of you might not agree with my opnion but thats ok. Go GIANTS!!

SICK!!

I know that I am behind on my blog but I really haven't had a lot that I could blog about. I was really sick this past week with a cold/flu (not really sure) but I still tried to at least go to work for part of the day. I think that I then helped pass it on the others. Sorry Kim and Holly:( I also had to make a very tough decision about my future. I have decided that I don't like making choices where there is no really clear right or wrong answer. Sometimes we just have to make a choice and I think sometimes those are the hardest choices that we have to make. In this case I pretty much had already decided what I wanted to do but after fasting and prayer just to make sure I realized that it just wasn't right for me. I was really disappointed and it has been hard for me but I am trying to move forward, be happy about it and put my trust in the Lord. I know that I am being vague about this but most people that I have told seem to think that I am crazy and that has made it harder on me. I promise to Blog something more exciting soon and it will include pictures!!

ADJUSTMENT

Today I had an appointment to see my orthodontist which is Stuart Frost. My last appointment I has a little bit of gum trimming which wasn't bad at all and I had almost no soreness after the first few days. Well today Dr. Frost asked me how I was doing with my soreness I said "I'm actually not have any, these last few weeks have been great." I learn that maybe next time I won't be as enthusiastic about my answer. After 12 hour I hurt pretty bad. I know it is kind of weird but after my adjustments I live on Macaroni and Cheese. I thought I would branch out from the KRAFT brand and try to make my own.

Tillamook Macaroni & Cheese

Description: One bite of this creamy, cheesy concoction and you’ll never go back to boxed! Look for it to move to the top of your kids’ favorites list.

Ingredients:1 8-ounce package elbow macaroni
1/4 cup Tillamook® Butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper 2 cups milk
2 1/2 cups Tillamook® Shredded Medium Cheddar Cheese

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cook macaroni per package directions, drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium saucepan; remove from heat. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in milk and bring to a boil while continuously stirring. Reduce heat and simmer for one minute. Remove from heat.
Stir in 2 cups shredded medium cheddar cheese and the macaroni. Pour into a 1 1-2 quart casserole, and sprinkle remaining cheese over top.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until cheese is golden-brown.
Makes 4 to 6 servings

I will let you know how it turns out!!

P.S. Tillamook was my first area on my mission in Oregon. I loved this area and I love there dairy products. Right now you can only get cheese and butter in Arizona and there is nothing better. However if you ever visit the Northwest you have to try Tillamook Brown Cow Ice Cream. YUMMY!!!

A VERY sad day

To remind some of you I am a huge sports fan. My loyalties have always been to the Wildcats as long as I can remember. At times living here during football season can be painful but I usually always have basketball to fall back on and we play them twice. Last night was a very sad evening when my Wildcats lost to the sun devils in overtime. Now while I won't take away the credit of this win because at the end of the day a win is a win I will remind all you sun devils that we were with out our leading scorer. I found this quote from Greg Hansen in the Arizona Daily Star (Tucson paper) and thought is summed things up

In a college sense, this is like it must've been for the Yankees of the late '60s — no Mantle, no Berra, no Ford, no Maris — and yet it didn't matter to the Twins and the Angels and their long-suffering baseball fans.
The bill had come due. There was no mercy.
It said "Yankees'' on the jersey, and even though it was Horace Clarke at second base and Bill Monbouquette on the mound, the fans delighted in dancing on the ghosts of the once-proud team from New York.
On Wednesday night, the long-proud UA basketball team was at times forced to play 6-foot-6-inch Fendi Onobun at center, anybody with a pulse and a uniform at point guard and Zane Johnson, making his college debut as a zone-busting shooting guard.
When the Sun Devils won 64-59 in overtime, you would have thought it was for a berth in the Final Four. Fans rushed the court. Sun Devil football coach Dennis Erickson raised his arms skyward and hugged celebrating fans. ASU athletic director Lisa Love walked down a corridor past the UA dressing room and gave an associate a high-five.

We will be back so enjoy it while it lasts!!

GO WILDCATS

Happy New Year

A few weeks ago I got a voicemail from one of my friends asking if I was Ok because I hadn't updated my blog in FOREVER. I actually check my blog almost everyday but never take the time to update my own. I can use the excuse that I am really boring and nothing really happens so me but really that is just an excuse. Actually I am kinda boring and I don't think that much happens to me but I have decided as one of my New Year Resolutions that I will try to update my blog one time a week. Now don't expect me to be perfect but I really would like to try. I know that I have already missed the first week but I had some minor but painful health problems over the holidays and I feel like that is a good excuse. Wish me luck and check back to see how good I do!

My most recent pictures date back to November. My office went on an office trip to San Diego. We had a great time.
